Well, at the risk of creating a commotion I decided to write an article that expresses my concerns and observations about how KCBS judging is done. Please note that these are only my opinions; however, I am passionate about them.
Cooking teams spend a lot of time and money preparing for and competing in competitions. The KCBS has rules that make it fair for all teams to compete; however, personal judging practices stifle the spirit of competition and make it difficult and in some cases impossible for cooking teams to get fair consideration of their turn-in entries. I have forwarded this article to the KCBS board and many of them have responded. These are very classy people who, in the midst of their very busy schedules, have taken the time to read my article. I appreciate their time and consideration and, I appreciate all the hard work they do on behalf of all of us KCBS members. That is why I am a proud member of the KCBS!
