Indy Smokehouse Barbecue was created by me, Tony Hunter in 2005 in Indianapolis, Indiana after finding it very difficult to find quality, southern slow-smoked barbecue. There are several chain restaurants in the city; however, the quality of the food from location to location varied significantly and this became very frustrating.
I bought two smokers, a Chargriller Smokin’ Pro™ and a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker™ and began to perfect my cooking skills with barbecue that smoked low and slow – southern style. I also developed an 11-spice all-purpose rub that is always a huge hit with family, friends and catering customers. Although, ISBBQ is a new entity in the city of Indianapolis, I have great expectations that our barbecue will become a house-hold name in the very near future.
I am committed to quality, freshness, and authentic wood and fire smoked barbecue at all times.
